Padstow Touring park and Padstow Holiday Park install WiFi SPARK Internet Solution across their site.
It was critical that the system would be reliable and provide WiFi coverage throughout the parks. WiFi SPARK were chosen as they proved that they offered the features and the customisation that were required.
About the Holiday Parks
The holiday parks are located just outside Padstow in Cornwall. This is an area of natural outstanding beauty surrounded by lovely coastal scenery and picturesque villages. The parks themselves offer some of the best facilities in the South West and the Touring Park was also recently awarded a 5 pennant by the AA.
The Solution
The solution consists of a SPARK Gateway which offers all of our usual features including content filtering, usage statistics, bandwidth control and a park branded welcome page where users choose a sign-in option or browse the useful free links.
A number of clustered antennas were installed around the parks to to ensure good coverage was available from each caravan and pitch.
As with all our customers, the 2 parks benefit from our 24/7 support service, so in the event that a customer is unable to gain access to the internet, one of our support staff will be able to remotely talk them through using the system.
All our hardware is monitored remotely for 365 days of the year. So in the unlikely event that there is a problem, we can troubleshoot the issue before the customer even knows.
Functionality
Customers connect with their wireless device such as a laptop to the holiday park's wireless network.They then launch their browser which will redirect them to the park's branded welcome page. From this page, they are able to visit a number of free sites, buy time using a credit card or log in with their unique ID and PIN if they are a permanent resident on the park. The process is very easy but we also provide a 24/7 helpdesk in the event that the customer requires any assistance. This type of process ensures that the park's staff do not need to provide any help with the system.
Conclusion
The WiFi Solution not only provides a useful service for their visitors but also an extra source of revenue for the park with very little outlay.
