Kings College Hospital installs WiFi for Patients

Kings College Hospital Wireless InternetWiFi SPARK has had a very busy start to 2008 including the implementation of WiFi to two NHS venues.  Our first installation being Kings College Hospital in London, is one of London's largest and busiest teaching hospitals.

The hospital is now providing SPARK WiFi to 2 new wards within the hospital with more to follow later in the year. The new Hospital WiFi service powered by WiFi SPARK is one of the first of its kind in the UK providing patients a new way of communicating with family and friends and also a good research tool.

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with a unique profile of strong local services and a focused set of tertiary specialties. This includes providing specialist services to patients across a wide catchment, and are recognised nationally and internationally for their work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac and haemato-oncology.
King’s provides a full range of local hospital services for over 700,000 people in the London boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark, and plays a key role in the training and education of medical, nursing and dental students.
