Somerset PCT is meeting the ever increasing demand for publicly available Wireless Internet access by instigating a project to install WiFi Sparks public hotspot and managed service solution into multiple sites.
The first to benefit is Lyngford House conference centre in Taunton. This 1830s converted manor house and adjacent purpose built conference centre provides modern conference facilities, accommodation and meeting rooms for large numbers of delegates.
The grade 2 listed manor house has recently undergone refurbishment and decoration of the public areas. WiFi SPARK was asked to meet a number of challenges to provide full wifi coverage to all facilities. To preserve aesthetics, wireless units were placed discretely and out of sight where possible, whilst maximising wifi coverage and performance. Our Telkonet solution, which uses existing power circuits was implemented. No unsightly cables to spoil the newly decorated and ornate architecture.
More information about Lyngford House can be found on their website at www.lyngford-house.co.uk .
