The Requirement
The hotel is situated in central Bournemouth surrounded by competition for room bookings all year round. Rui Teles the hotel manager investigated ways in which to overcome his challenge of increasing room sales bearing in mind that the Trouville Hotel was already offering outstanding services and luxurious surroundings at competitive rates. Rui established that today’s aggressive competition for room sales, coupled with the fact that technology plays a huge part of everyone’s life, he needed to offer a high quality yet free to use WiFi service throughout the hotel.
Solution
WiFi SPARK was chosen and installed a solution in the hotel that provided 100% WiFi coverage to all areas. Guests were therefore able to benefit from free WiFi in their rooms, the lounge, bar and meeting rooms.

Functionality
Anyone in the Trouville Hotel who wishes to access the internet associates their device with the network, after which they are directed to a branded “Welcome Experience” offering useful up to date information about the hotel and the surrounding area.
Support is provided from the WiFi SPARK 24/7 helpdesk for end users and also Trouville staff. All hardware is monitored around the clock by the SPARK network management system so that WiFi SPARK can correct most network issues prior to users experiencing a degradation in service. Monthly usage reports are provided detailing the number of users and network usage. The SPARK system controls all user access so that no one user can take all the bandwidth. Each user is given a predetermined bandwidth ensuring a fair service for all. WiFi SPARK blocks inter client connections for security, to ensure PCs are not visible to each other over the same network. The service is also fully compliant with Lawful Intercept requirements for hosting WiFi.
