Universal Marina, situated on the River Hamble in Southampton has recently installed a new wireless internet access system from WiFi SPARK.
Available for the berth holders and on site tenants this installation is one of the best in the business.
October 2006 saw the ‘go live’ of wireless internet access for Universal Marina. After a long vendor evaluation WiFi SPARK were chosen to install the system based on their experience in the marina industry and solid understanding of wireless networks.
The system, comprising multiple radio devices provides 100% coverage to the marina berths allowing users to surf on a secure and reliable wireless network. Boasting WiFi SPARK’s latest server based deployments will allow a wealth of exciting services to be launched in the future over and above internet access. Universal are providing the service free of charge to their annual berth holders but access to the system is also available to visitors in the area.
The WiFi SPARK help desk ensures customers have someone to call in the event of any technical queries, 7 days a week.
Feedback so far has been very positive and both Universal and WiFi SPARK are proud of the quality of the installation and service offered to their respective customers.
